About the AHRM

The Association for Human Resource Management (AHRM) is a professional organization to fulfill needs of human resources professionals in the Greater Grand Rapids area and an affiliate of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Our mission is "to provide timely and accurate information, professional development, and networking opportunities to human resource professionals in the Greater Grand Rapids area."

We were founded in June of 1985 and have grown to the second largest chapter in the state of Michigan (next to Detroit). We have approximately 300 members representing nearly 200 companies.

We are proud to be a SUPERIOR MERIT AWARD CHAPTER in Area III of SHRM. This is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a chapter for its services and programming for human resource professionals - and we've accomplished this honor for the past five consecutive years under the leadership of dedicated and talented volunteers.
